The group is committed to conducting its relationships with regulators in a transparent fashion and consults with the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) and the regulators of jurisdictions within which the group operates on all pertinent issues. A dedicated Nedbank Group Finance unit takes responsibility for the relationship with our primary regulator, SARB.

The group strives to respond appropriately and timeously to regulatory and supervisory developments and works closely with regulators and government throughout the legislative process to ensure the practical applicability of any such developments. The group also interacts with government departments through its position on the Financial Sector Charter Council and through the submission of employmentrelated information to the Department of Labour. Participation in all Banking Association working groups and projects is considered imperative.

Nedbank Group complies with the JSE listing requirements.

Additional information regarding the state of governance, compliance and risk management at Nedbank Group is available in the Nedbank 2008 Annual Report. The Enterprise Governance Framework can be found on the Nedbank Group website.
